Vision Advocate: Jerrold Keilson

Jerrold Keilson is an active volunteer and participates in marathons and cycling events to raise money for cancer and another cause that has become very personal and important to him — glaucoma.

When Jerrold was diagnosed with glaucoma more than 10 years ago, he wanted to raise awareness and support research by becoming a Vision Advocate with his monthly contribution.

When asked about how he decided to give to Glaucoma Research Foundation, Jerrold noted that it is important to do your homework. "Some charities have high overhead, spend too much on fundraising, or advocacy agendas you may or may not agree with. So, do your due diligence and read up about different charities. Look for an organization with a good reputation, good forward vision, good management, and demonstrable results."

We are honored to have Jerrold as a Vision Advocate with his recurring donations. Monthly Giving is an easy and affordable way to continually support our mission to cure glaucoma and restore vision through innovative research.

As a Vision Advocate, you are showing your support for our bold vision of a future without glaucoma. To join online visit our Monthly Giving page, or call our Development Department at 415-986-3162, ext. 226.
