Ophthalmology Times Europe features article on Catalyst For a Cure in April issue

April 2, 2009 — Glaucoma Research Foundation and Catalyst For a Cure are featured in a comprehensive article by editor Pamela Brook in the April issue of Ophthalmology Times Europe.

The article, titled “Catalysts for collaboration and cure: Moving toward a better scientific understanding of glaucoma” includes interviews with Thomas M. Brunner, Glaucoma Research Foundation’s President and CEO, Philip Horner, PhD, Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at University of Washington, and Nicholas Marsh-Armstrong, PhD, Assistant Professor at the Kennedy Krieger Institute, Johns Hopkins University.

“If The Glaucoma Research Foundation can play any part in getting researchers to collaborate and share ideas, in addition to finding a cure for glaucoma, then our work is done,” Thomas Brunner, CEO of The Glaucoma Research Foundation told Ophthalmology Times Europe. His statement is neither fanciful nor wishful thinking as collaboration is the basis for a unique research model, Catalyst for a Cure (CFC), which is funded by The Glaucoma Research Foundation (GRF).
