3rd Annual Golf Outing and Auction To Fight Glaucoma
Maryland non-profit The Polakoff Foundation will hold its third annual Golf Outing to Fight Glaucoma on Monday, June 16, 2008, at the Mountain Branch Golf Course in Joppa, MD.
Last year’s Golf Outing brought together 95 golfers, 40 sponsors, and a dozen volunteers to have fun while raising funds to benefit glaucoma research and education.
Glaucoma is the world’s leading cause of preventable blindness. It is estimated that 70 million people around the globe suffer from glaucoma. Funds raised at The 3rd Annual Golf Outing & Auction To Fight Glaucoma will go toward research for a cure as well as providing free glaucoma screenings and educational materials.
