Reply from Christopher's Sister

Recently I was asked how it felt to inspire people all over the country, and really, I hadn’t thought about it. After reading the responses on the Glaucoma Research Foundation Website and knowing that people were reading our story and were inspired to donate made me feel amazing, like I had recently won the Noble Prize. We think glaucoma will be cured in my lifetime and that makes me feel INCREDIBLE!
There are so many people in the world who probably think, “Well that organization probably has enough money, there’s no reason for me to give to them.” In science there is never enough technology, research, or money. If you are looking for a cure, you’re going to need a lot of donations to get the new technology and possible cures. I love teaching people about glaucoma, because few people know what glaucoma is, or that children can get it. I also love knowing that there are hardworking, dedicated scientists that are working to improve the eyes of people who have glaucoma, including my little brother, Christopher.
