Samuel Polakoff from Forest Hill, Maryland decided to make GRF his giving priority, and recently joined The Catalyst Circle. He included with his membership the contribution of a poem…
I Am A Thief
I am a thief.
I am a suspect in tens of millions of cases around the world.
In the U.S. alone, I have struck more than three million times.
Half of my victims remain unaware.
I often steal from the same family.
I work alone and usually under pressure.
It takes a lot of nerve.
But once my objective is complete, my prey has suffered a permanent loss.
I know no real boundaries.
I seek out people of all ages.
They are always unsuspecting.
I come.
I strike.
They feel no pain.
The authorities try to catch me.
Each year, it becomes more difficult to hide.
Without the remedy, I progress easily.
My best ally is ignorance.
I am a thief.
I have a name.
My name is Glaucoma.
I can be stopped!
