Fred H. Brinkmann

Recently retired after over 40 successful years working in all areas of Information Technology, Fred Brinkmann was a pioneer in the creation of large-scale corporate circum-global computer networks in the years before the Internet was ubiquitous. He was Director of Information Technology at Varian Medical Systems in Palo Alto, California from 1993 to 2006.

Fred joined the Glaucoma Research Foundation Board of Directors in July, 2006. He currently serves as Board Treasurer and Chair of GRF's Investment Committee, and is a member of the Silicon Valley Leadership Committee.
