C. Seth Cunningham

“I am involved with Glaucoma Research Foundation,” says GRF Board member C. Seth Cunningham, “because I have glaucoma, and I am interested in knowing about the latest breakthroughs in research, as well as seeing if there is some way I can help accelerate the process of finding a cure. With the population aging, there is a looming epidemic of blindness caused by glaucoma.”
“GRF’s educational outreach is very important both to the families and those already diagnosed, as well as getting the undiagnosed tested for glaucoma. GRF’s collaborative approach to research picks up the pace of discovery and increases the potential that the research will have a day-to-day impact on glaucoma patients. I am honored to be invited to serve with such a hard-working team as our board and staff; I’m particularly inspired by the results-oriented spirit of innovation GRF brings to both its research and outreach.”
Seth joined the Board in 1996. When he’s not flying back and forth between India and Singapore on assignment for Clearwater Capital Partners, Seth flies back and forth between his home in New York City and GRF’s offices in San Francisco, keeping current with board meetings.
Previous to joining Clearwater, Seth spent 17 years at JPMorgan, most of it in JPMorgan Capital, the area that invested in private companies for Morgan’s own account. Clearwater Capital Partners invests in special situations and distressed debt in the Asian markets, excluding Japan.
